Young & de la Sota Architects is a national architecture, planning and interiors firm with a portfolio spanning over twenty-five years. Based in Puerto Rico, our design and delivery of services include a broad range of projects including residential, interiors, institutional, industrial, commercial, recreational, business and civic projects. In addition, we undertake sustainability programs, feasibility design studies, adaptive re-use design, land planning, master planning projects and the design of environmental graphics. YSA's award-winning work extends across Puerto Rico and the United States as well as internationally to Mexico, British Virgin Islands, Australia, England, France, China, Japan, Vietnam and Korea.
YSA does not follow a single design genre. Instead we work to imbue our design with style, rather than follow a style. Our work ranges from traditional to contemporary. We believe that the best design takes place when the architect's skill and training are combined with the interest of an engaged and thoughtful client. To enable that teamwork, we throughly research the particulars of each assignment and the human needs that are anticipated, and use those findings to test our ideas against. When a collaborative partnership between architect and client is nurtured in this way, the resulting design can incorporate both a simple elegance and clarity that helps make design solutions sustaining and a true reflection of their context and users.
YSA and Acacia Network are planning a 104 unit LIHTC community in Toa Atla, Puerto Rico. Construction will commence in 2015 for delivery in 2017.
