The partners of Young & de la Sota Architects (YSA) began their professional collaboration in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1989, continuing their work together in San Juan, Puerto Rico during 1990 and 1991. In 1992 they migrated to San Francisco, California, seeking experience in the forward looking West Coast and throughout the Pacific Rim.  In 2000 YSA returned to its roots in San Juan.

 

The firm has experience in the planning and design of a broad range of projects including residential, interiors, institutional, industrial, commercial, recreational, business and civic projects.  In addition, it undertakes feasibility design studies, adaptive re-use, land planning and master planning projects.

 

YSA is a California certified Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprise, and registered with the SBA/CCR as an MEB/WEB.
