The partners of Young & de la Sota Architects (YSA) began their professional collaboration in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1989, continuing their work together in San Juan, Puerto Rico during 1990 and 1991. In 1992 they migrated to San Francisco, California, seeking experience in the forward looking west coast residential design market, and founding their interdisciplinary design firm in 1992. After nearly 10 years practice, along the West Coast and throughout the Pacific Rim, YSA returned to its roots in San Juan in 2000. The firm has experience in the planning and design of a broad range of projects including residential, interiors, institutional, industrial, commercial, recreational, business, civic and sustainable developments. In addition, it undertakes feasibility design studies, adaptive re-use, land planning and master planning projects. Note that this site remains under construction.
