YSA has immediate need for an early or mid-career architect. This individual will work on all phases of mixed-use and residential projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will have responsibility for interpreting, organizing, implementing, and coordinating project team and team assignments to complete architectural projects. The role ensures that production of construction documents are in concert with design of project. Architect assists in managing project budget, schedules, staffing, and conformance to contract. Communicates with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure project details are carried out. Architect interacts with client to provide on-going information and communication.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent
- Licensed Architect
- At least 5 years of related experience
- Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proven proficiency at construction administration and document preparation
- Proven ability to lead a team
- Strong applied computer graphic software skills in AutoCAD required
- Revit and SketchUp skills are an asset
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel particularly) knowledge required
- Excellent communications skills and team leadership skills.
- Proven ability to present to clients and assist in marketing interviews
- Ability to travel as needed for various projects
- Proven ability to work independently and meet required deadlines
