Radcliff Quadrangle Expansion

Cambridge, MA (1990)

.

The Renovation and expansion of dormitories in the Radcliffe Quadrangle has fostered a new sense of community among residents and faculty. Each residence hall now provides the common space and suite living that contributes to the quality of student life at Harvard.

Following Radcliffe's merger with Harvard, 10 dormitories in the Quadrangle were redefined as two houses under the university's house system. North House?s buildings are clustered along the top of the Quadrangle, while the six halls of Cabot House surround the remaining three sides. The Quadrangle is used by students for outdoor recreation year round.

Preserving this large green as a focus of both houses was a major goal of the expansion project.
