NEWS: Paseo de Diego Village is moving forward, and is scheduled to begin construction during the first quarter of 2012.
This 130 unit infill mixed use courtyard project occupies an important site on the Paseo De Diego pedestrian street in the center of Rio Piedras, directly adjacent to University of Puerto Rico campus. The program includes over 15,000sf of interior courtyard and 7,000sf of retail. The apartments are segregated into two distinct groups, market rate one and two bedroom units, marketed towards faculty members from the adjacent campus, and two bed assisted living units for seniors.
This local groundbreaking concept of mixing users follows the precedent established in several US, European and Asian markets. Each group has distinct entries, and courtyard spaces, yet has common spaces were overlap can occur.
